ಮೈಸೂರು, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 18 (ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಾರ್ತೆ ): ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ವಾಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರವಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರವಣ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಕ್ ದೋಷವುಳ್ಳವರು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಉಪಹಾರ ವಿತರಿಸುವ ನೂತನ ಸೇವಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮನ್ನು ಪಂಚವಟಿ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ನ ಕುಟೀರ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಯುಕೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಇಸ್ಕಾನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಸ್ತೋಕ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಊಟ ನೀಡುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಸಮಾಜದ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಗತ್ಯವುಳ್ಳ ಜನರಿಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಇಸ್ಕಾನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 20,000ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಬಿಸಿಯೂಟವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರ, ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಜಂಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಮಾಜದ ಬಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂಧ/ವಿಶೇಷ ಚೇತನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೂ ನೆರವಾಗುವ ಹಲವು ನೂತನ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಮುಂಬರುವ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲು ಎದುರು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಶ್ರವಣ ಮತ್ತು ವಾಕ್ ದೋಷವುಳ್ಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ನೆರವಾಗಲು ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ವಾಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರವಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಡಾ. ಪುಷ್ಪಾವತಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಪೋಷಕರ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥೈಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌಷ್ಟಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಜಾ ತಿಂಡಿ ತಲುಪಿಸಲು ಚಿಂತಿಸಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ,ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸಿ ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ಪೌಂಡೇಷನ್ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಉಪಹಾರ ಒದಗಿಸಲು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಯಾವುದೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಅಥವಾ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆ ಸದಾ ಅಂತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರವಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
Akshaya Patra and AIISH Launch Breakfast Service for Children with Hearing and Speech Impairments
Mysuru, August 18 (Karnataka Varthe): The All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), in association with the Akshaya Patra Foundation, has launched a new service to provide breakfast to children with hearing and speech impairments who visit the institute for treatment.
The service was inaugurated by Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Yukesh Kumar at the Kuteera premises of the Panchavati Campus.
Speaking on the occasion, ISKCON’s Sri Stoka Krishna Swamiji said the Akshaya Patra Foundation, apart from providing free mid-day meals to children in government schools, is expanding its service activities to disadvantaged sections of society and people with special needs.
At present, ISKCON provides mid-day meals to more than 20,000 children studying in government schools. The initiative is a joint programme of the Government of Karnataka, Government of India and the Akshaya Patra Foundation. Several new initiatives are also being undertaken to support economically disadvantaged and specially-abled persons, he said.
The organisation plans to expand the initiative further in the coming days and remains committed to providing continuous support to children with hearing and speech impairments and other needy sections of society.
AIISH Director Dr. Pushpavathi said the breakfast initiative was conceived after understanding the needs of children and their parents who visit the institute. The nutritious and fresh breakfast is intended to support them during their visits to the institute. She said the Zilla Panchayat CEO took special interest in the initiative and facilitated discussions with the Akshaya Patra Foundation to provide the breakfast service.
She added that the initiative has been named ‘Akshaya Patra’ with the objective of ensuring that good deeds and selfless service continue without end.
Officials and staff members of the Institute of Speech and Hearing were present at the programme.
