The Assistant Professor and Research Colleague Qualification Test (UGCNET), which is scheduled to take place in December 2020 and June 2021, has not been implemented in time, due to the bad impact of the global problem corona virus. The examination was held in December 2021, with the announcement that 12% of special marks ( its regularly 6% )would be considered for the Junior Research Fellow phase in view of the students’ future.
Previously, exams were held every year on the part of the University Grand Commission (UGC). In that case minor errors were found; There was no major loss to the students (It’s completely through physical). But past 4 years the test N. T. A. (National Testing Agency) A private institute is the first to prepare for the examination and the result is a huge hazard in the view of the students due to its inadequate ability and chaos. All optional subjects such as Science, Maths, Business, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu etc.
But in the Kannada issue of 26/12/2021, the only technical error was that the test of early morning time had not started. The majority of students’ test registration computers are NTA. Due to the technical flaw of the private firm, the test paper was not seen. The students are already very nervous. However, some of the question papers have been opened and the Kannada language paper has been printed in Hindi. It is wrong to assume that this is a bad strategy of the Hindi language peoples. The question paper was printed in Kannada shortly after half an hour after supervisors from the colleges where the exams were lodged complained to the staff of the NTA’s private office headquarters.
In that case, more than twenty questions are repeated and the problem still persists. Yet only a few have marked the answer to the full question paper. Some of the answers were filled with confused students discussing each other in the exam room, That time most of students got chance easy-pass .Some have sincerely replied. Many other students have been left staring in confusion, fearlessness and starvation for almost four hours without a question paper. The sound of those from far-flung villages was unheard of. In the end, the question paper of the students who did not answer was finally submitted and they too had to leave the examination room in confusion. The NTA private company decided to re-examine the issue in the afternoon and on 4/01/2022, the exam was held in Kannada. The decision of the NTA to reopen the case was not correct. Those who answered the question paper at the first examination were informed that their first exam was taken without giving admission and the re-examination was conducted for those who did not see the question paper for the first time.
Most of the students was bored because the first test paper lacked the correct answers due to the confusion and fears caused by the technical error. Now we are all cheating to take that test paper into consideration. There was another problem when the first and second time students were still waiting for the result. The results of students who have passed the exam for the first time are cheating, and the scores are variable. The students are being asked not to answer so many questions. Showing that one hundred and forty, fifty, and seventy questions are left blank. This means that the NTA is showing the irresponsibility of the private sector as a matter of Kannada language and how much of the Hindi language is being manipulated as a Kannada language issue.
To this end, all the students are echoing or contradicting the chaos, boredom, frustration and frustration that they have so narrowed their dream of a bright future without seeing the future. It is my voice on behalf of all the students that the Government of Karnataka and the Universities should take appropriate action to discuss with the UGC about the future of the students and most importantly the Kannada language and kannadigas.
